Guest Post: Student Fashion Picks!

My Sixth and final guest blogger of the week is Ben who blogs about beauty, lifestyle, fashion and food over on The In Cloud! I really like the post that Ben did for my blog and if you are off to university soon, then I'd definitely recommend you give this post a read and then check out Ben's blog! Thank you so much to all of my guest bloggers who have blogged for me this week! I hope you enjoyed reading posts from different bloggers and hearing different opinions. My normal beauty rambles will be continuing as normal from Monday!

Looking good as a student should not have to cost you a fortune. Freshers and returning students will want to dress to impress during their first weeks of the opening term and this post will point you in the right direction of some top fashion trends and provide tips on how to save on your expenditure.
Those First Nights Out
A dazzling dress will certainly make you stand out from the crowd and shiny sparkling metallic-styled garments are proving extremely popular at the moment. Plus it’s still warm enough to show off your legs at the moment. Make sure you save yourself some cash by using discounts voucher websites and offers through your NUS card.

Uni Wear
Bright patterned jumpers are big winners with students and they go perfectly with jeans or cut-offs. The classic striped top has been strong feature throughout the summer and remains a popular choice but striped tees and oversized tees look great and won’t cost you much at all.

Lounging Lazy Student
Joggers and thick cotton hoodies are literally a student essential, and although you might not venture too far out of the house in them, you will certainly keep warm and toasty in the coming winter months. Check out Hush, who specialise in loungewear and nightwear, with everything from silk pyjamas to polka dot nightshirts.
As fun as university is, chances are you will be lugging around lots of heavy books and files, so a sturdy bag will be needed, but this doesn’t mean it has to be boring and plain. There are many stunning leather bags available in varying colours from most high street retailers or online. Rucksacks are also still as popular as ever and bright colours are favoured too.

Shopping around online for discounts is definitely one of the best ways to save you a heap of cash on all your fashion essentials and check that NUS site, as there are a host of reductions from top high street retailers available to you. Don’t rule out charity shops either. You will be amazed at what you can find for next to nothing.
